Quato Intelli Proof 242 Excellence

The Intelli Proof 242 Excellence is perfectly suited for all graphic professionals and photographers that demand a wide colour gamut with 98% Adobe-RGB match and 100% ISOcoated v2 match. The integrated direct USB-hardware calibration adjusts whitepoint, gamma and luminance with up to 48bit precision. The true 10bit color rendering ensures vivid colors and smooth gradients for highly precise soft proofs and perfect image editing. The user friendly iColor Display software makes the complete calibration process easy and accurate. Additionally, the integrated UGRA UDACT validation software allows a user based certification of the display at any time. Plus, video professionals benefit from the HD compatibility including HDCP, Faroudja Video processing and the simulation of different color standards like SMPTE-C or BT.709.

All Quato displays are designed from the ground up to be colour critical displays and have many extra features to ensure consistency, uniformity and accurate calibration. The included iColor Display software comes with a site license so you can use it to calibrate and profile other monitors as well, ensuring better consistency between main and secondary monitors, for example. An optional extra is the Silver Haze colorimeter based on the very accurate X-Rite DTP94, still the most reliable of the monitor colorimeters available.

Precise adjustments

The supplied Quato iColor Display Software adjusts the Intelli Proof's internal calibration processing unit with up to 42bit resolution. Instead of only up to 256 steps with a software calibration, this solution uses up to 65,353 steps to optimise the display. Additionally the monitor is able to show 1024 grey or billions of colours by using a frame modulation technology. Plus, the ADC uniformity circuit ensures a uniform colour and luminance distribution over the whole screen area.

Software features

iColor Display not only adjusts the monitor automatically, it also sports many professional features: the calibration results can be verified by either Quato's internal certification, the ugra- DACT standard or according to SWOP. That allows an objective judgement of the displays' performance - including the certification for softproofing. A unique calibration restore function is also available. The gamut projection with a/b diagram - in comparison to up to 2 additional profiles - is included, too.
