GTI PDV-2eD - Professional Desktop Viewer with Dimming

The GTI PDV-2eD is the same as the PDV-2e, but includes a dimmer facility, making it ideal for soft proofing & colour management. Visual colour comparison between a colour monitor and a print, or proof is significantly enhanced by bringing the light intensity of the viewing system closer to the light output of the monitor.

When you are evaluating your photographic prints, you must have consistent lighting (both in terms of brightness and colour temperature). The ideal light is daylight (at noon, during the summer), but it's not always practical to do that! Because every type of lighting is different (fluorescent, tungsten etc), each will have a variable effect on your print, so you never know what your print should really look like. GTI viewing booths provide a consistent light colour temperature (to D50 standard, which means they are spectrally balanced too) and consistent brightness, making them ideal for print evaluation.

The e-series of PDV Professional Desktop Viewers uses the latest multi-voltage electronic ballasts with T8 Graphiclite lamps. Their design has been enhanced to provide increased efficiency at a lower cost. All models come pre-assembled with a unique hinged design that allows quick and easy set up for viewing and equally fast fold-up for storage and/or transport. Accessory side walls, available for each model, are recommended for tighter compliance to the D50 industry viewing standard. These new models also provide significantly greater viewing areas compared with the previous models.
