  1. Good screen, BUT Eizo needs to up its' production standards....

Posted by David Stewart ( Paradox ) on 22nd Mar 2013

We are a small full service design agency. Over the last 11 years we have probably bought 35-40 screens, mainly production standard or high-end business. We were turned onto Eizo after we bought a ColorEdge and subsequently an Eco FlexScan, both of which we were really impressed with.

However,we have never once had a screen with a dead pixel until this latest Eizo FlexScan. No problem! we thought, Eizo will swap it out.

How wrong were we! Eizo consider this to be within acceptable tolerances, and won't replace it. It will be going onto the fiery as the printer screen, as the designer it went to isn't a happy bunny and only sees the dead pixel.

I do have nothing but praise for NativeDigital for trying to resolve this with Eizo, but really surprised at Eizo considering this to be acceptable in current times, especially when even the average person, now, will send back a smart phone with any screen fault whatsoever, and dead pixels just aren't tolerated, even in a home environment.
