The EIZO ColorEdge CX271 gives you size and colour accuracy at a reasonable price. Its wide colour gamut and high resolution will makes your images look great - well saturated and exceptionally sharp. You can use the included ColorNavigator with a colorimeter such as the i1 Display Pro or other supported instrument to deliver quick and very accurate hardware calibrations. The built-in self-correction sensor can then check the monitor periodically and adjust the brightness if needed. Shipping is free and if you can find a better price give us a call and we'll see if we can beat it.
The ColorEdge CX271 is a Standard Level ColorEdge screen, this means that it offers many of the quality and performance levels that photographers have come to expect from an EIZO ColorEdge including the excellent ColorNavigator software for hardware calibration but the CX271 does not come with a hood, although one is available as an optional extra. The CX271 also doesn't come with the pixel fault warranty that is standard with the CG277. It is however an exceptionally good monitor and is very good value for money. Its 27 inch size offers plenty of on screen space. The CX271 would be perfect for many amateur and professional photographers.

Ideal for: Pre-press, designers, professional video/film companies, & photographers
A 27 inch screen enables you to display an image in Photoshop or Lightroom and still have plenty of room for your palettes. Or if you are a graphic designer you can display an A4 spread at actual size. The CX271 can even rotate 90 degrees to give you a portrait format display as well. The CX271 has the same resolution as a 30 inch screen which means that the pixels are packed that bit tighter giving a pixel pitch of 0.2331 x 0.2331 mm, this gives an exceptionally sharp and crisp screen image.
All ColorEdge screens undergo thorough testing and quality control in EIZO’s factory before they are allowed to wear the ColorEdge badge, and the CX271 is no exception. The screens are measured for tonal reproduction, temperature stability and uniformity and any variations compensated for in the advanced circuitry of the monitor. EIZO ColorEdge have a deserved reputation for quality and the ColorEdge CX271 provides that same quality at a lower price point.
EIZO’s ColorNavigator software is very easy to use and access the monitor hardware directly making for easy and accurate calibration. ColorNavigator calibration software supports the i1 Pro, i1 Pro 2, ColorMunki Photo, i1 Display 2, i1 Display Pro, Spyder3 and Spyder4 measuring instruments. The built-in self-correction sensor only monitors screen brightness in conjunction with ColorNavigator. Once a target is set by ColorNavigator the sensor can monitor the brightness of the display over time and make any required adjustments. This means that the ColorEdge CX271 will be more consistent between full calibrations but also should require them less frequently. Also whereas most monitors require approximately 30 minutes of warming up to fully stabilise the CX271 is ready in just 7 minutes. The 16-bit 3D internal look up tables adjusts colours individually on an RGB cubic table. This makes colour rendering smooth, more accurate and enables better emulation of other colour gamuts.
EIZO’s commitment to quality is clear from their warranty. All users benefit from a 5 year warranty. Additionally for the ColorEdge range EIZO offer an on-site 'advanced exchange'. This means that EIZO will send a replacement or loan monitor to you and arrange for yours to be taken away for repair. Once fixed, the monitors will be swapped back. The RGB full pixel failure warranty covers the CX271 up to 12 months after date of purchase based on ISO 9241-307 (pixel failure class I). This means a full pixel failure is covered, but not a sub-pixel failure - i.e just one or two of the R, G or B sub-pixels.
At Native Digital we have so much experience with EIZO ColorEdge monitors that we are more than happy to talk you through set up and the first calibration, and we are always happy to answer any questions you have.
The bundled ColorNavigator software makes calibration both simple and quick. Just input target values for brightness, white point, and gamma. You will need a third party colorimter or spectrophotometer to measure the monitor. You can download the latest version of ColorNavigator for free at www.eizo.com.
Reproduces 99% of the Adobe RGB Colour Space
The CG277 has a wide colour gamut reproduces 99% of the Adobe RGB colour space so images with deep reds, vibrant blues and lush greens will be reproduced faithfully.
Uniformity from Corner to Corner
Fluctuations in brightness and colour on different parts of the screen are a common trait of LCD monitors. To counteract this, the CG277 incorporates EIZO's patented digital uniformity equalizer (DUE) technology to ensure a Delta-E difference of 3 or less across the screen when the monitor leaves the factory. DUE also corrects for fluctuating ambient temperatures to ensure consistent image display.
DisplayPort, HDMI, and DVI-D inputs are included and support resolutions up to 2560 x 1440. The HDMI input also offers direct connection with digital cameras. Two USB upstream ports allow two computers to be connected at once so it’s not necessary to reconnect the USB cable when using the ColorNavigator software and switching between the two computers.
Adjust the screen to the most comfortable angle for you and reposition it to show your work to a colleague or client. The monitor comes with a versatile stand that offers height, tilt, and swivel adjustments as well as portrait mode display.

I use the CX271 predominantly for photographic image editing with some video editing. I would definitely recommend this to professional / semi professional photographers. Just moved from an Apple Imac 27” glossy screen with a Dell 2405FPW second screen. I thought the Imac screen was good but knew it did not have the profiling capabilities I really needed – the CX271 is in a different league all together- awesome in comparison – real quality. I’ve only just started using (4-5 days use) but I’m very pleased with my purchase.
