Creating, editing, and referencing with 2D and 3D CGI, VFX, compositing, and colour grading. Professional photography and retouching.
Every ColorEdge screen is carefully measured and quality controlled in the factory. The CG318-4K has an IPS type LCD panel that displays minimal change in contrast and colour when viewed from an angle; vital for a screen this large. It supports 10-bit input and has a 16 bit 3D internal look up table to ensure smooth gradations and colour transitions. The 3D LUT enables various colour standards and film looks to be applied so that you can be sure you are seeing images just as audiences will.
The CG318 takes just 3 minutes to stabilise for colour, so you can get to work straightaway, and know your screen is accurate. Each screen is measured for corner to corner uniformity and EIZO's patented digital uniformity equalizer (DUE) technology ensures a Delta-E difference of 3 or less across the screen. ColorNavigator calibration software lets you calibrate to presets such as EBU, Rec. 709, SMPTE-C, and DCI or you can set your own target. The built-in calibrator can be set to auto-calibrate on a schedule the monitor even if the workstation is shut down.
Of course, being a 4K monitor the CG318 is jaw droppingly sharp (four times the resolution of HD) but it also has much deeper blacks than most IPS screens. It has a contrast ratio of 1500:1 to conform to the DCI standard. EIZO’s flicker-free technology ensures that you can use the screen at any brightness level with no eye fatigue, the stand is also fully adjustable so it’s a screen you’ll happily sit in front of day after day.
