Size
A 27 inch screen enables you to display an image in Photoshop or Lightroom and still have plenty of room for your palettes. Or if you are a graphic designer you can display an A4 spread at actual size. The ColorEdge CG277 can even rotate 90 degrees to give you a portrait format display as well. The CG277’s pixels are packed that bit tighter than a 24 inch monitor giving a pixel pitch of 0.2331 x 0.2331 mm, this gives an exceptionally sharp and crisp screen image.

Quality
The EIZO ColorEdge CG277 has been developed with the same commitment to quality as every EIZO screen. All ColorEdge screens are measured and assessed, any variation of colour or luminance across the panel is compensated for using EIZO’s digital uniformity equalizer technology to ensure true edge to edge consistency. The CG277 also comes with excellent features for the video market including HDMI input, safe area markers, 1080/24p playback and I/P conversion.

Accuracy
Each built-in colorimeter is individually calibrated to each monitor, ensuring a perfect match. EIZO’s ColorNavigator calibration software is simple, but powerful, and always gives great results. The 3D colour look-up-tables and 10 bit display capability result in smoother colour gradations and greater colour accuracy. The included hood shades the monitor from ambient light. EIZO have done everything they can do to make the ColorEdge CG277 best colour critical monitor on the market. You’ll be able to see details in your images that would be lost on lesser displays.

Reliability
EIZO’s 5 year limited warranty offers excellent peace of mind, but with the ColorEdge range they also drop off a loan monitor before taking yours for repair, meaning you won’t be left without a monitor. The RGB full pixel failure warranty covers the CG277 up to 12 months after date of purchase based on ISO 9241-307 (pixel failure class I). This means a full pixel failure is covered, but not a sub-pixel failure - i.e just one or two of the R, G or B sub-pixels. We have been selling EIZO monitors since 2005, we can advise you on which is best for you. When you receive it we will talk you through getting it up and running and can even use screen sharing software to guide you through the first calibration. After that we are always just a phone call or email away.

cg277-built-in-sensor.jpg

Built-In SelfCalibration Sensor
Automate your calibration with the built-in SelfCalibration sensor that swings up onto the screen only when calibrating. This sensor eliminates the need for a third-party calibration device.

Reproduces 99% of the Adobe RGB Colour Space
The CG277 has a wide colour gamut reproduces 99% of the Adobe RGB colour space so images with deep reds, vibrant blues and lush greens will be reproduced faithfully.

uniformity.gif

Uniformity from Corner to Corner
Fluctuations in brightness and colour on different parts of the screen are a common trait of LCD monitors. To counteract this, the CG277 incorporates EIZO's patented digital uniformity equalizer (DUE) technology to ensure a Delta-E difference of 3 or less across the screen when the monitor leaves the factory. DUE also corrects for fluctuating ambient temperatures to ensure consistent image display.

cg277-connectors.jpg

Multiple Inputs
DisplayPort, HDMI, and DVI-D inputs are included and support resolutions up to 2560 x 1440. The HDMI input also offers direct connection with digital cameras. Two USB upstream ports allow two computers to be connected at once so it’s not necessary to reconnect the USB cable when using the ColorNavigator software and switching between the two computers.

3d-lut.jpg

3D LUT for Accurate Colour Display

The 16-bit 3D internal look up tables adjusts colours individually on an RGB cubic table. This makes colour rendering smooth, more accurate and enables better emulation of other colour gamuts.

fogra-cg277.jpg

FograCert Softproof Monitor
The ColorEdge CG277 is recognized by Fogra as a Class A FograCert Softproof Monitor. Using the CG277 in a FograCert Softproofing System ensures designers, print specifiers, and print producers can rely on the soft proof for predictable and consistent results. 1. Good grading monitor 4 Star Review

Posted by on 24th Apr 2015

A little bit chunky and no USB 3.0 ports but the quality and image of the monitor is of a high quality for colour grading especially with the REC709 profile.

  2. Excellent buy!!! 5 Star Review

Posted by on 26th Mar 2015

I purchase a couple of these for a Dual Screen set-up and very pleased with their performance straight out of the box and I haven't even calibrated them or installed any software yet!! Running them as Default monitors from Windows 7 and used their factor calibrated Adobe RGB pre-set factor setting.
Thought I might run them for a few hours use first and then read the manual and figure out how I set-up this self calibration.

  3. Excellent Choice 5 Star Review

Posted by on 7th Nov 2014

I've only had this Display for a few days so it's much too early for me to make a detailed evaluation of this product but straight out of the box it was easy to set up and calibrate. First impressions are that I made an excellent choice.

  4. top-rank product 5 Star Review

Posted by on 24th Oct 2014

precise colour reproduction and accuracy, easy to set-up, automatic calibration is a time-saver - top-rank product for the photography and video professionals.

  5. Easy to set up. 5 Star Review

Posted by on 28th Aug 2014

    Excellent image quality.

  6. Can't do Better 5 Star Review

Posted by on 25th Jul 2014

I do not think you can better the Eizo CG277 with anything on the market today. I am a keen amateur and although the product is aimed a professionals, for anyone who wants the best prints, anything else would be a lesser compromise. The screen is marvelous. The user has so much control over colour through the variety of settings and, of course, self calibration. In addition you can use more than one computer and readily switch the screen between them.

  7. As good as expected 5 Star Review

Posted by on 18th Jul 2014

I am interested in web design and graphics from a serious amateur perspective. I bought the monitor because it had good reviews, appears to meet my expectations(too early to comment on performance)and most importantly the provider's help NativeDigital.

  8. Would recommend 5 Star Review

Posted by on 4th Jul 2014

I use the Eizo screen for photography, film and graphics – so colour quality and consistency is essential for me. I would recommend it to my colleagues and peers – I have a number of photographer friends who just buy Apple because it matches their kit, without giving product choice a second thought.

  9. A feast for the eyes 5 Star Review

Posted by on 4th Jul 2014

I stare at this monitor most of every day and it is a constant treat for the eyes - fabulous colours

  10. Very pleased 5 Star Review

Posted by on 4th Jul 2014

Replaced a Mac cinema 30 and extremely pleased with the ease of profiling and, of course, the accuracy of colour & tones compared to the final print. Was worried that the loss of some area (27 inch v 30 inch) would be noticeable but it isn't an issue. Feels like a proper piece of kit for a good photographic workflow. Just need to take some good pictures now!
