basICColor DISCUS

A new and very high level, professional display calibration hardware device from German colour management experts, basICColor.

Please note that the standard basICColor DISCUS does not come with calibration software. The DISCUS is supported by NEC SpectraView Profiler and basICColor Display (others coming soon).

Professional monitor and display technology has experienced a rapid development lately with the introduction of wide-gamut displays, new panel types and so on. These displays now demand much more from a measurement instrument. Video, cinema, presentation, medical applications etc all require monitor calibration devices with the highest precision, signal to noise ratio and longevity.

basICColor DISCUS is made to measure for these demanding fields of application. As a high-end colorimeter, the basICColor DISCUS offers the precision and flexibility of a lab-grade instrument within the compact design of a hand-held instrument.

• Encapsulated optics and thin-film glass filters of the sensor guarantee long term stability of the measurement values. Each instrument is calibrated individually and can be re-certifed over and over. This ensures that you can use basICColor DISCUS perpetually as a dependable master tool and reference instrument.
• The built-in temperature sensor in basICColor DISCUS compensates for incremental heating during the measurement session. You can now be sure to get reliable and constant measurement values even in the critical dark areas.
• With a basICColor DISCUS you are equipped for all measurement tasks. It performs contact and tele-measurement with the built-in laser point, as well as measurement of ambient light. 
• Up to 128 loadable calibrations mean the basICColor DISCUS is ready for any type display. If a new display type comes out, the basICColor DISCUS is easily adaptable via firmware downloads to keep up with new developments which means your investment has a guaranteed future.
